Carmen Nozal
Spanish-Mexican poet and cultural promoter

Welcome to this space where I share my poetic journey and the projects that have given meaning to my work as an author and cultural promoter.
I was born in Gijón, Asturias, and since 1986 I have put down roots in Mexico, a country that has deeply nourished my perspective and my voice. Over the decades, I have explored poetry as a form of resistance, memory, and celebration. I have published hundreds of pages that span different life cycles, and my work has been included in anthologies both in Spain and abroad. As a cultural promoter, I have actively participated in the creation of spaces for literary encounters, organizing readings, workshops, and festivals that promote shared words.
My path has been marked by crossing shores, the dialogue between languages, and the certainty that poetry—more than a genre—is a way of being in the world.

My name is Alexa Young
